Unregister a VMware virtual machine

When you unregister a VMware virtual machine (VM) from Backup & Disaster Recovery appliance, its associated client is also deleted.

To unregister all VMs available via the VMware connection and to remove their respective local clients from appliance at once, see Remove connection.

To unregister an individual VM:

  1. In the appliance Management Console, go to ClientsVMware.

  2. Select a registered VM on the list.

  3. Click Unregister on the actions toolbar, or right-click the selected VM, and then click Unregister in the context menu.

The Unregister Virtual Machines dialog opens.

  4. In the open dialog:

    1. Select if you want to delete all backup jobs associated with the VM, or to keep them in the system.

Pinned jobs will not be deleted automatically.
