Error. VimSdk component failed on the agent machine

Error message

Message logs in the Management Console of the Backup & Disaster Recovery appliance show the following error:

DR Image Backup Engine Error: 
- VimSdk component failed on the agent machine. Win32 error: 0x00000040 The specified network name is no longer available 
- Application 'Volumes' was failed and should be excluded from the current task 

Steps to resolve

Change the engine used to create the DR image backups to Standard.
