Set up Google Workspace admin account for Cloud Application Backup

Summary: Set up an admin account in Google Workspace environment for using with Cloud Application Backup to protect Google Workspace data.

To activate backup task for Google Workspace and to automatically discover all user accounts, your Google Workspace admin account must have Super Admin role and API access enabled.

Also, you must turn POP and IMAP access on for all user accounts in your organization.

Important

If you use 2-Step Verification for Google Workspace, you need to create an app password in your Google Workspace admin account, and use it to authenticate your CAB backups.
